2. W.I.H.E. Festival - Gilly Weber - Plumpton, England

 A poem with many names:

I ate England

Why England, Why England Indeed?

But now:

Ode to Hamlet

It begins:

I ate England.

Natural territory for me.

Grains, beans & veggies:

I ate England naturally

I ate England

No meat, dairy,

added sugar or eggs.

I ate England - cruelty, no

I ate England

No processed food

or TV dinners for me

I ate England holistically

I ate England

to be kind to myself

& so - kind to the planet.

I ate England consciously

I ate England

to find balance,

to find me

I ate England macrobiotically

So why ate England?

Why England indeed?

Here is an explanation:

When it comes to eating

we are limited in freedom.

Bodies complain -

when we meet our limitations

But if we have an understanding & nourish these

greater freedom is our reward,

both spiritually and physically

So:

I ate England asking questions,

making food selections, searching for me

I ate England with curiosity

So Why England?  Simply?

 It gave me the choice,

the freedom to find me

Do I hate England?  No.

I ate England peacefully
