Oh, Why Do YOU ... and I Hate England?

The ‘Eskimos’/Inuit may have 500 words for snow.

Why do the English who pride themselves so much on their use of language

have so few words for their proverbial, perpetual and at times pungent grey skies?

Is it pride without question?

Is it just to avoid looking up?  Or looking out?

Yet look up when the sky is with greys the land is lush with greens

... and they can even survive a bit of blues.

Look out at where the blues prevail, the greens are short-lived and the land pervades in browns.

... and sometimes reds, oranges and yellows.

So it’s well worth a tease to those of distant lands

That the airports close when the skies here are briefly blue

For it’s beauty ol’ England to see, just open those eyes.

... but do give us a few more words to describe your oh so grey skies.

And then there’s Blair and the Blairites ...

How many hundreds of thousands are you allowed to kill, millions maim and cultures destroyed

Before you oh so nice people are even willing to call for justice?

At least former General Colin Powell shuts up and lives the rest of his life quietly.

But then again, they as well have the four million dead from the Vietnam Wars.

... Operation Masterdom as initially codenamed by the British.

The cultures that are ours?

And that is, mine... Eeeeeeeeeeeeeek!
